~*Updates*~
March 2010 A new year! I hope everyone has transitioned into 2010 with minimal injuries to your psyche! Deramis Creations is gearing up for another year of festivals. The list for 2010 has been updated, and more will be added as I go along, so be sure to keep checking the list, I may be visiting a fairie festival or renaissance fair in your area! Also, I'm pleased to announce my first gallery show in Richmond VA. It will be held at the Richmond Public Library 101 East Franklin St. on April 2nd (which is also a 1st Friday Art Walk in Richmond) from 7-9 pm. I will be in the 2nd floor gallery showcasing new paintings and sculptures in my darker style- no fairies here, just strange creatures! If you live in the Richmond area I invite you to come out for a night of art, music, and refreshments. November 2009 Eep! Another update so soon? Well, I just wanted to let all you freaky darlings know that I have posted lots of pictures from the fabulous time at FaerieCon on my facebook page. And also that I've posted a link to the interview I did with Silverthorn Press here. I answer questions about my inspiration, techniques, and give some advice to aspiring fantasy artists. Also, if you've ever wondered what "Deramis" is, then have a peak at the link and explaination on the front page of my site. I'm giving away all my secrets! ;) I hope you enjoy and have a lovely November! October 2009 .............Happy Halloween, my Freaky Darlings!!! October has been a fabulous month of shows, concerts, costumes, and parties! I hope to see you all in November for FaerieCon 2009 at the Baltimore Marriott hotel. Iwon't be vending this time, but I will be doing a signing at 2:30 on Saturday at the Fairy Glenn booth, with some prints and goodies available. ............Several updates have been made to this site, including a few new paintings and sculptures to the galleries, and some more dark art down the rabbit hole. I've also added some new links to the dark and light link sections. ........... For more up to date news, friend me on Deviant Art, or become a fan on Facebook!
April 2009 .............Happy Spring! I don't know about you, but I am glad the earth is finally waking up from the long winter! During my hybernation I have worked on several projects I'd like to share with you. Firstly, you will find several new additions to the paintings section and the dark art section. My thanks goes out to the girls on the Richmond Olympiad team for modeling for the "Top Hat Brigade" and "The Green Faerie" for me! I have been wanting to tackle the Green Faerie for a long time, and I finally found the right inspiration for her. The Top Hat Brigade is actually the brain child of the Fairy Mafia, which leads me to my next update... ............ My friend and fellow fantasy artist, Brigid Ashwood, began the Fairy Mafia as an inside joke for artists who wanted to promote themselves without falling prey to bad contracts, plagiarism, and other such pitfalls of the business world. It has now evolved, with different artists as 'bosses' of their own families. Since Brigid and I are both known for wearing Top Hats at festivals, I took up the head of the Top Hat Brigade. Check out the Fairy Mafia page dedicated to the Brigade, and see how you can join up too! .............This year I have several new products available. Tate & Co, Fairy Glenn has started manufacturing mugs with my Zodiac paintings on them, in addition to greeting cards and wholesale prints. I also had the pleasure to collaberate with Charity Holly, of Mystic Memories, in a project we are calling Celestial Elixers! These are hand made fragrances, uniquely blended from the inspiration of my Zodiac paintings. Each scent corresponds to the sign it is made for, and comes with that sign's corresponding gem stones right in the bottle! They're all so delicious, I'm sure you'll want to eat them! But please dont! ;) .............And last but not least, I have a new show schedule up for this year, kicking off with the May Day Fairie Festival at Spoutwood Farm. I can think of no better way to celebrate Beltane than there at the farm! This year I will be traveling to many more festivals than last year, so stay tuned, because the list will be updated as more shows become added. Love, Light, and Fairy Magic!
